The Wedding Structure
Your wedding can be as unique as you are, but the typical wedding structure is as follows:
- PRELUDE: music before the ceremony as the guests are arriving
- PROCESSIONAL: seating of the mothers/grandmothers, entrance of bridesmaids/wedding party, entrance of bride
- CEREMONY: unity candle lighting, rose ceremony, offertory, communion, etc.
- RECESSIONAL: right after the couple is pronounced and as they (and their wedding party) exit
- POSTLUDE: music as the guests are leaving
